Participants travelled from different parts of the country, while several delegates arrived from Kuwait, making the programme one of the largest and most ambitious faculty development initiatives organised in the region. The initiative focused exclusively on the professional growth of educators through structured learning, collaboration and knowledge exchange.
"Educators spend their working lives developing others, and they rarely get a programme built entirely around their own growth," said Dr. Madhu Chitkara, President and Co-Founder of Chitkara University. "Amplify was created to give them that space, to think, to question and to lead. The response from this first edition tells us how much such a platform was needed and we intend to keep building on it."
The Amplify Leadership Series was inaugurated by Dr. Sandhir Sharma, Vice Chancellor of Chitkara University, who emphasised the importance of continuous learning and adaptive leadership in higher education. The opening ceremony featured a live performance by the Swastik Band, setting the atmosphere for the three-day programme.
The academic sessions comprised six masterclasses structured around three major themes. The first theme, Leadership and Emerging Technologies, focused on the application of artificial intelligence in education and examined the ethical challenges associated with teaching, research and administration. The second theme, Communication and Collaboration Excellence, highlighted the skills required to strengthen academic teams and departments. The third theme, Life Skills and Student Career Readiness, explored methods through which educators can prepare students for employment, entrepreneurship and life beyond classrooms. The sessions concentrated on leadership development, self-awareness and practical strategies aimed at improving team engagement.
Beyond the academic sessions, the residential programme offered participants opportunities to experience campus life and cultural activities. A Campus Odyssey introduced delegates to the environment and facilities of Chitkara University. Sports activities and a Heritage Fashion Show, featuring participants dressed in traditional attire, celebrated the diversity and richness of India's cultural heritage. A special entertainment session featured stand-up comedian Rajiv Thakur, widely recognised for his appearances on The Kapil Sharma Show.
Throughout the event, student volunteers provided assistance to delegates, earning praise for their professionalism and hospitality, which participants described as a reflection of the institution's culture.
The programme witnessed strong participation across all three days, with packed sessions and positive feedback from attendees. Several participants held leadership positions in schools and educational institutions, including chairpersons, principals, vice principals and heads of departments. Many delegates stated that the campus infrastructure, hospitality and academic standards of Chitkara University had left a lasting impression.
The first edition concluded with a valedictory session and the distribution of participation certificates. Chitkara University has announced that the next edition of the Amplify Leadership Series will be held from June 26 to June 28, 2026, with expectations of welcoming around 350 educators.
